2 Corinthians 12:9-10
And He has said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness". Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ's sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong.
Our Heavenly Father, gracious Lord Jesus Christ, how wonderful it is to come to You at anytime, to speak to You, to know that these words, this prayer does not fall on deft ears. Heavenly Father, I lift up myself to You, I ask forgiveness of my sins, for I am a sinful man, not worthy of Your grace, Your love. Father, I tell You nothing You don't already know, for You are never caught off guard, or shocked. Father, I accept Your grace and forgiveness, for it is only through the saving blood of Your Son, our Redeemer, the Mighty One, and the gracious counselor, Jesus Christ.
Lord, I am a weak man, I cannot do anything without Your help, without Your guidance, without Your hand upon me. It is all due to You, and for You. It has taken me so long to understand this about You. You allow nothing to come to us, that hasn't passed through Your fingers first, and it is something You know we can handle. I can handle nothing without You Father, and for this I thank You, cause we are never alone, we are never on this road by ourselves. You walk with us, You hold our hands; I sometimes look down at my sons hand as we walk together, to see his little hand in mine, to look at him and know he has total confidence in my leadership to get him to from one point to the other. Oh, Father how far we have drifted from You. This is what You want from us, You want our unwavering trust, You want our little hands in Yours, for there is no other more capable to get us from one point to the other in our lives. Father, Lord Jesus, my wonderful Savior, I ask forgiveness for letting go in the past, I am not perfect, and so I look to You for help in keeping my hand in Yours, and trusting You fully in our walk together.
Oh, what a feeling to know that You are always with us. Father, there are so many who don't know this wonder, who couldn't care less, or even believe for a second, Father my heart goes out to them. It never used to, my heart has been hard to many times, and for to long of times in my life. Father, You, You alone are turning my heart around, and leading me in the direction of Your Son, to look at others through Your eyes. Father, I do fail, but not as much as in the past, and the longing I see now in others eyes, fills my heart with sorrow, and compassion. Break me down farther Lord, so I may feel more for others, so I may witness for You and Your glory. So I may not worry of what may happen and leave all things to You. So that I may never shy away from the truly good news of the Salvation that is only through You Lord Jesus.
Father, I lift up my wonderful and beautiful wife, Lorna. She brings me such joy, and love. If someone wanted an example of compassion it is her. I believe now that is one of the main reasons You have brought her to me as my bride. I learn so much from her, her loving heart and compassionate caring is the biggest. It shows in our boys, Wyatt and Jack, such beautiful kids, Lord. They are such blessings, You have enriched our lives so much, by allow us the privilege of them in our home, and most importantly in our hearts. Father, I give You my family, for I know they are in no better hands than in Yours. Protect them, and guide them, allow no evil or harm to come near them, or inflict them at all. Thank You my Father, for these wonderful blessing. I am so not worthy of their love either, but I am trying to work as hard as I can to make them happy, and loved. To be the father, and husband You want me to be. Thank You
Father, I give You Mother and Dad, Floyd and Diane, Doug and Vickie, please lay Your blessed hands upon them, throughout their days, give them peace and joy, may they come closer to You everyday, for no matter what we go through, or how long we've roamed this earth, we can never learn enough or experience enough of You. May learn more of You, and pass it down to us, so we may learn more and do the same to our children. For it is the teachings of You Lord Jesus, through Your word, and the lessons we learn with You and from You, and give it all down to our children, that is the true inheritance that is due to our children. May we never forget that.
Lord, I give You my Uncle David and Aunt Brooke, they are not in the best of times, they are looking for You, I pray they see You, experience You, and feel Your grace upon them. Add healing were You see fit, and may Your sovereign Love cover them like the warmest blanket ever felt. I pray for strength and courage for those around them, so that support and care may come without hick ups, or obstacles. I lift them to You my Father.
Lord, we have wonderful brothers and sisters, (Curt, Deb, Chris, Patty, Jerry,Marjorie, and the kids, oh, who could ever forget the wonderful kids, Rachel, Grace, Amanda, Evan, Cole, and little Luke). All of them are such joys in our life Lord, may Your graceful hands lay upon them, and follow them throughout there days too. May they never stray, and may they come closer to You and Your ways. I pray for blessing upon them all and those who support them in their daily lives.
Father, I give a list of people that mean the world to me, the list is long, and the requests are full for prayer for them, they are on my heart and on my mind, You know better than I, so Father, take it from my heart and lift them up, thank You Lord Jesus.
Father God, as I end the prayer I give You my life again, it is something I could never grow tired of doing. I praise You for always being there, and accepting me into Your arms, there is no other place I'd rather be. I praise You Lord, and I give You all I have. I pray in the name of Your gracious and wonderful Son, my Lord, and Savior, my Redeemer, and King, Jesus Christ, Amen
