Prayer

Mark 11:24
Therefore i say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you.

Hello all, I pray this finds everyone well. Well I have been doing some thinking about this site, and I think it can use a little change. I first started this site to honor God, and I don't think I've gotten away from that. However I have a lot to learn on many subjects. I had an idea come to me though, and started to pray and think on it. You see I love to talk about our God, I love to just speak, and pray, and listen, and learn of our God. I don't think I've been doing that well of a job with this site in those area's. So I am going to change it up a little. For a little more back ground, I'll share a new devotional technique with you.

I was recently listening to one of my favorite pastors, Chuck Swindoll, and he gave a task to his congregation and to his listeners. He suggested doing a 30 minutes a day with God devotional. You take it in 3 ten minute segments. The first is a deep 10 minute devotional. Take your devotions, read them, then go further in your reading in the scriptures. The second segment is to pray for ten minutes. You mention all who you love, all who you hold close to your heart, of course mentioning all that everyone is going through would take longer than ten minutes, but don't forget God already knows. However to mention them by name, brings them closer to your heart as well. Then pray for your pastor, the church you attend, pray for the country, our leaders, and most importantly those who protect this nation. Then the final ten minutes is a reflection of your devotions and prayer time. He challenged everyone to try this for a week, I try it for 2 days, and wow, what an insight, an enlightenment into our God.

So I am going to take the second ten minutes a little further. I am going to just start posting prayers. I will mention those whom I love, those who are close to my heart and mind, my pastor, our church, our nation, the troops. Now take a breath for some of you out there, I will not mention any one's problems, or issues. It is not my place to put things into the public eye. I will mention names, no details. I have found that in prayer, once you start, you never know where it may lead you...... I love to pray, so thats it, a prayer blog. O I thought that if anyone wanted me to pray for something specific, or to add something on this blog, I could do that, but that would be totally up to you. There maybe someone out there that needs a good prayer, or hasn't had anyone to pray with them or for them, well maybe in a way this could be a way that I can help, and be the example that Christ wants me to be. I love responses, so please don't be shy, let me know of any thoughts, or suggestions. Thank you all for you time that you give to read this, and possibly to forwarding this on.

Prayer:
Good evening our Father, it has been a wonderful and blessed day in Your love, and in Your light. Father, I ask forgiveness of my sins, Lord, I sin everyday, the thoughts I have, some actions that come of those thoughts, are not right, and are far from you. Father forgive me. We have a nature that fights and wrestles with You Lord, but through Your power and through Your grace You win. You have already won, when You sent Your son to die on the cross, You won. Your wonderful gift of love has power over all things, and Father I fall to me knees in thanksgiving. Father I ask for blessings on these words, may they honor and glorify You above all things, may they reach someones heart who needs a prayer. Father, guide my thoughts and my actions, use me in ways that accomplishes Your mighty plan, and give Your blessing to all that read or come in contact with this site. Father, I lift up my lovely wife, what a blessing she is, and a treasure. Our boys Wyatt and Jack, we can't imagine our lives without them, and the thought of trying to crushes our hearts. Hold my family close to Your love our Father, guide them, protect them.

Father, I lift up our parents, Mom and Dad, Floyd and Diane, Doug and Vickie. Father, may we never forget they are our examples, that they have been down these roads before, and they are our help in our lives and the lives of our families. Lord, I give you our brothers and sisters, Curt and Deb, Jerry and Marjorie, Chris and Patty, Father, You have blessed Lorna and I with such good friends in these siblings, may we never stop leaning on each other, and seeking each other out to spend time with, and just stay in each others lives. Father I lift up the children, I spoke of mine earlier, now I lift up Rachel, Amanda, Evan, Grace, Cole, and Luke, what joys they are, when they are all together, you can actually see Your glory. You can understand how and why You love all the little children of the world. Protect them in these rough and hard times, give us the parents, the knowledge and the strength to raise them and protect them, there are so many wolves in sheep's clothing out there, that without You, we could not survive.

Father, we have family that stretch across this country, we don't speak to for awhile, or hear from, and Father I lift up my aunts, Sylvia, Barbara, and Brook, and my uncle David. I pray Your touch is felt by them, and their children my cousins, Kelly and Kevin, Chris and Dedra. Here at home the need is no greater or less, I give you my uncle Scott and aunt Melinda, there kids Mandy and Jacob. Aunt Rory, Marnie, and her kids, my aunt Ruth and uncle Dave, Lord we live so close and see so little, Father, guide them, and lay Your hands upon them as well. Father, I want to say something special about my aunt Maryanne, she has never had a turned down face in front of a child, she laughs more than anyone I know, and always helps where she can. Father, touch her in a way that shows the "example" to others and honors You.

Father, my dear friends Ross and his lovely wife Sherri, are close to our hearts and our family always, may the be blessed my You, and guided by You, they mean so much to me, we have friends and neighbors that need the prayers, Father, with Your power and knowledge may they be blessed today. Father I give our pastor Ray, and the ministry he leads at bayside church. Father continue to bless this church and may the evangelizing never cease. Father I pray for our nation, in these tough times, and evil times, You have never been more needed than now. May we not put our trust and faith into a president or congress, but in You. We lift up our nations leaders as they have tough jobs to do, and Father may You become front and center in their meetings, and finally Lord, I pray for our troops. Those wonderful men and women who defend this nation, Father, they are far away in strange and dark place, in secret places, Father protect them, asure them that they would know You are God, and you are in control, bring them home safely.

We thank You our Father for Your love, for Your grace, and for Your everlasting gift of Your son. For it is in His name we pray. The name of the mighty counselor, the wonderful King, the everlasting and true ONE, Jesus Christ, we pray......

And Gods people said,
amen
