Lavished Grace

Ephesians 1:7-9
In Him we have redemption trough His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace, which He lavished on us. In all wisdom and insight, He made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His kind intention which He purposed in Him.

Heavenly Father, thank You Lord for choosing me. You predestined us to be with You, to believe in Your Son. You were never mistaken, or wrong. Father we can't explain it, and honestly, I love that. I love the questions about Your ways, Father, to explain Your ways is impossible, and for us to even try is futile. And that is fine with me. You have taken the burden off of our shoulders. We don't have to explain everything, You just ask us to believe in You. There are some Lord that want the explanation, that need it or so they think. Father, I pray that You touch them in a way that eradicates that need from their thoughts. Father Your grace is sufficient for us, You tell us that in no hidden ways, it is right there in the Apostle Paul's pen. Father thank You. Lord, I love the word "lavished" in the verse above. It shows us that You pull no punches, when You give, You really give, and You let the flood gates open and O my what a privilege it is to have that Grace just Lavished on us. Thank You Father.

Father, today I do come to You with a heavy heart. A mind with a truck load of thoughts upon it. A soul that is thirsty for more of You, for more information of You, more knowledge, and more Christ-like ways, all to glorify You, all to honor You Lord. Father, I want to lift so many up to You tonight. However Father in doing that I think the computer would die, and time would certainly run out on me. First though Father, I lift my wonderful and beautiful wife up to You. Lord she is such a wonderful part of my life, I truly cannot imagine life without her, and I do shutter at that thought. She is the strong backbone of this family, and the love and grace she puts out flows to so many people in so many ways. People just flock to her Lord. Bless her today, I ask for Your most gracious blessing on her. Give her peace, and contentment, fill her full of wonderful thoughts of You, and the knowledge that all she has, and all that is around her is given by You, so she will have the understanding that she can let go of things, and let You take charge. Father I give You my children. Lord, I don't think others understand the extent of that statement. Lord, they are already Yours, Yours to take at anytime, O what a devastation to deal with, Father, I do plead with You not to allow that to happen, but You are in control, You are the One, You have it all in Your hands, and we cannot control a single thing. So who's better care could they be in? No other, loves them more than You, no other cares or can give to them what You can. Thank You Father, for allowing Lorna and I to have them in our lives, for the trust and direction you give us to care for them. Father, help us to continue to lead them back to You and to fill their little minds, hearts, souls with Your word, and the Majesty that is Christ.

Father, I do give You Mother and Dad, as they search for You in different ways may the be led to Your Glory, may they find the place that You desire them to be and to be filled and enriched by Your Glory. Father I hold up Floyd and Diane, Doug and Vickie, wonderful in-laws, who by their own wisdom's and experiences enlighten us as role models. May Your blessings pour down upon them all. Father, our brothers and sister, nieces and nephews, are always on our hearts, we ask for their well being, and for their paths to be lit by Your light.

Lord, God, Father, I come to my family across the country. Lord, O what pain and suffering they are going through. This Father is the weight of my overload today. Father, (and I am going to name them)Father, I lift up my Uncle David, and Aunt Brooke, my Aunt Barbara and her husband Steve, my dear sweet cousin Kelly and her little girl and dear, sweet angle Samantha. Father, these family members I hold especially dear and close to my heart now. Father, there are illnesses, and health problems, there is the possibility of financial concerns and most likely for them all there is exhaustion. Father hold them all, heal them, fill them with the Spirit, and increase their strengths and fortitude's to trust in You and the belief that as long as You are first, as long as You are allowed to lead our lives, that there is nothing that cannot be done, or accomplished in Your name.

We praise You Father, we give You our hearts. Father I give You my life. You Jesus, gave up Your life for me, I could never repay that gift, the best offering I can give is my life back to You. I thank You again for choosing me, allowing me to be apart of Your family, Your flock, lead me my Shepard.

Father, as I close this pray I ask for guidance and conviction for our nations leaders, how farther and farther away they get from You, O Lord we need You more now than we ever have. Father for those who guard this nation, we ask for your protection upon them, guide them, let them know that You are God, and You are in control.

Father, give strength to our pastors, our counselors, and our friends. May we be friends to those who need us, and counselors to those who need the ear. May our pastors have to knowledge they need to lead Your people, and to honor You. May we never forget You, may we never start our days without You. Father convict us, and bring us closer to You in Your ways and on Your time table.

Father we pray in the name of Your Son, our Savior, our Mighty Counselor, and Redeemer, His name is Jesus Christ, and He is our King. It is in His name we pray, and all God's people said,....
amen

Fruit of the Spirit

Galatians 5:22-23
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control: against such things there is no law.

Good morning our Father, the blessing of a new day in Your love is upon us, and as we get started may we give it all back to You. Heavenly Father, thank You for Your love, and for the above description of Your Spirit. You tell us to love one another, You supply the rest for our use. Father, forgive us for not using what You have put in front of us to make this life better for Your honor. Having lost one or two (sometimes more than that) of these blessings in my life, I see now the importance of them all. Of course nothing is as important as having You.

Father, as I said earlier today in new, and so much to do, I ask for Your blessings and guidance in doing the tasks set before me, Father, I lift up my beautiful wife to You also today. Lord the life of a mother barely has any down time, so Father I ask that You would bless her with patience, strength, contentment, and joy today. What a strong and sensitive woman You have blessed me with, thank You our Father. Lord, I also give You our boys, Wyatt and Jack, what wonderful little blessings to our lives. Their smiles brighten the darkest of days, and their little minds are so full of You. If one where to step back and look they would most certainly see the beauty and grace of You Father, is an innocent child. Children do not pull punches with words, and are so honest and true about who and what they love. O how we much we could learn from our kids. Please guide them and bless them also today Lord, keep them safe with us today, allow no harm to come to them today.

Father, I lift up Mother and Dad, Floyd and Diane, Doug and Vickie, what wonderful parents You have given to us Lord. Not only are they good examples for our lives, but also can be good friends. I once heard that a parent is a parent, not a friend. Well that doesn't fly with me, don't friends give advice?, aren't friends suppose to be there for you? Well I can say for sure some of the best times in my life has been spent with each one of them, and just talking. I pray that I can have and keep a relationship with my kids, and their wives when the time comes. Father, they have trials and tough time also, I ask for Your hands upon them, heal them in times of sickness, and hurts, bless them in times of good and bad, as You do for us all. My praises to You Father. Father our brothers and sisters, Curt and Deb, Jerry and Marjorie, Patty and Chris, Lord, lay Your hands upon them today, guide them with Your Righteous right hand, keep them in Your graces, the kids, Rachel, Grace, Amanda, Even, Cole and Luke, Father their joys supply us with so much happiness, be with them today also, fill them with the Spirit of the Lord, and may they be examples of Your love, even at their young age. Our friends, Ross and Sherri, and a long list of more and close friends, along with family, Uncle David, and Brooke, and the lengthy list here too. Father, lay Your healing and blessed hands upon them too Father, give them the peace they need, and the strength they need for their duties today also Father. Thank You for them all Lord.

Lord, I give You our pastor Ray and Bayside church. He has a big charge in front of him. To lead a congregation is by no way a small task, so Father, I lift him and his staff up to You today. I pray that the words that they use first honor You, and either leads someone to You that was not there before, and also enlighten others. May the church never lose sight of, You being first, and Your Glory being center. Father, our nation is so troubled, but You already know this, You know the evil that controls those who lead in areas, Father You have been left out of so much in our nation and look where it has gotten us. Innocent are killed, the poor is taken for granted, the fortunate don't pay attention, and the elected just don't seem to care. Father I pray that You conviction comes upon them swiftly, and this country realizes how far it has gotten from You, and makes its way back. Finally Lord, I give You our troops, such brave men and women, doing such dangerous work. They do work that we may and most likely will never know the depth of. They work in such evil and dark secret places, guide them and protect them Lord, let them know You are God, and You alone are in control. Bring them back home safely to their families, and hopefully to a nation that love them, and shows their debt and gratitude to them.

Father, once again thank You for this wonderful day, it is filled with Your love and blessing. May we be so much like our kids and see it. I love You Father, I thank You Lord, for the gifts of words, and the blessings to be able to put them into words for You. My heart is Yours, my soul and mind follow willingly. Father, we pray in the name of Your most righteous and honorable, great King, Your son, our Savior, O our Savior,.... Jesus Christ,

and God's people said........, amen

Unfathomable

Romans 11:33
Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways!

Good morning our Father, O how deep are Your thoughts, how unsearchable are Your judgments, and yes Father, unfathomable Your ways. I love that Lord, I truly do love that about You, You are unsearchable, You allow for no error, You are perfect. We can try to see what You see, live how You live, but we fall short by miles every time. Father forgive us. Forgive us of our sins, please Father make us strait on Your path. Father, we will always come short of Your grace, until that one day we finally stand before You, and Your mighty Son, the true One, the Mighty Counselor, the First, the Last and the only One in the middle, Jesus Christ, stands with us, and reads our names out of the Great Book, Your book. There is a song Father, that describes that time as best any human can do, "I can only imagine", because Father, right now we can only imagine, we have no true idea of what it will be like to stand in front of You, to be surrounded by Your glory. Will we fall to our knees, or will we jump and sing Your glorious name. O Father, all we can do is imagine, but whatever will come of that day, we know for sure, and there is no doubt about, this we do know; You will be there, and we that have put our faith into the hand of Your son, we the ones that believed in You and no other God, we will be allowed into Your kingdom, and we know for sure that You will welcome us with open arms, and Father the tears of joy that will flow from our faces, because we will all finally be able to say for the first and most certain time in our lives that, ... we are finally home.

Heavenly Father, today I give You my life, and my soul, my heart, and my mind, Father guide me today with Your love and unending grace. Father I lift up my lovely wife, Lorna today, hold her close, along with our boys Wyatt and Jack, Father allow no harm to come to them, and fill them with the Holy Spirit. Thank You Father, for the blessings of them in my life, though I am not worthy of such a wonderful gift. Father, as this day goes about Your will, I lift up the following into Your arms; Mother and Dad, Floyd and Diane, Doug and Vickie. Our brothers and sisters, Curt and Deb, Chris and Patty, Jerry and Marjorie, the kids, Rachel, Grace, Amanda, Evan, Cole, and Luke. Father, touch their lives, and hold them all close today. I pray for Your wisdom to be the guide in all our lives today.

Father, there are those that have troubles today, their health or their emotional state today. Father some are distraught with their families and friends, be it a difference in opinions, or something deeper and darker. Father there are those that see only the money troubles and think there lives are over, Father, I pray for them today. Them Lord, there are those who don't know You, that don't know of Your Grace and Love. Father some of them chose not to believe in You, and Father, I ask that You touch them today, that their days become uncomfortable without You, that their nights become sleepless, and disturbed. Lord, life without You is disturbing at the least, may those without You see this, and come to the Cross. Father, allow me to be the example for You. Allow me the privilege of serving for You to others, and speaking Your word to those who need it most.

Father, the depths of names from our friends and families run deep, the troubles are real and many, and there is joy too Lord. Father You know their names, You know their hearts, I implore You to fill them today with Your light. To name a few Father;.... Ross and Sherri, Dave and Ruth, Scott and Mel, uncle David, and aunt Brooke, .... Jacob, Michael and Brenda, ....... O Father, list is so great, but it is a wonderful thing to have so many to pray for, for it is all about You and Your glory. Father I lift our pastor Ray and his charge up to You today, the Bayside church does so much good, may Your name continue to be first, and Your will be the priority. Father as our nation turns in the direction of evil, I pray for our leaders. This is the time that You are needed most, and Father we see them slip further and further away from You, O I pray this isn't so, however Father You know the outcome, and the timing, may we all stay faithful, in Your word. Last but certainly not least Father, I lift up the troops, Father the jobs they have and the dangers they have are great, but You Lord are greater, hold them close today, and fill them with Your Spirit. Thank You for there service Father. Protect them and bring them home soon Father.

Thank You once again Father for Your love, for Your grace. You alone are worthy of our praise, may we never stop. May the world be filled with Your glory Father, for it is in the mighty and most glorious name of Your Son, our Faithful Redeemer, Jesus Christ, we pray................... and Gods people said...... amen

Prayer

Mark 11:24
Therefore i say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you.

Hello all, I pray this finds everyone well. Well I have been doing some thinking about this site, and I think it can use a little change. I first started this site to honor God, and I don't think I've gotten away from that. However I have a lot to learn on many subjects. I had an idea come to me though, and started to pray and think on it. You see I love to talk about our God, I love to just speak, and pray, and listen, and learn of our God. I don't think I've been doing that well of a job with this site in those area's. So I am going to change it up a little. For a little more back ground, I'll share a new devotional technique with you.

I was recently listening to one of my favorite pastors, Chuck Swindoll, and he gave a task to his congregation and to his listeners. He suggested doing a 30 minutes a day with God devotional. You take it in 3 ten minute segments. The first is a deep 10 minute devotional. Take your devotions, read them, then go further in your reading in the scriptures. The second segment is to pray for ten minutes. You mention all who you love, all who you hold close to your heart, of course mentioning all that everyone is going through would take longer than ten minutes, but don't forget God already knows. However to mention them by name, brings them closer to your heart as well. Then pray for your pastor, the church you attend, pray for the country, our leaders, and most importantly those who protect this nation. Then the final ten minutes is a reflection of your devotions and prayer time. He challenged everyone to try this for a week, I try it for 2 days, and wow, what an insight, an enlightenment into our God.

So I am going to take the second ten minutes a little further. I am going to just start posting prayers. I will mention those whom I love, those who are close to my heart and mind, my pastor, our church, our nation, the troops. Now take a breath for some of you out there, I will not mention any one's problems, or issues. It is not my place to put things into the public eye. I will mention names, no details. I have found that in prayer, once you start, you never know where it may lead you...... I love to pray, so thats it, a prayer blog. O I thought that if anyone wanted me to pray for something specific, or to add something on this blog, I could do that, but that would be totally up to you. There maybe someone out there that needs a good prayer, or hasn't had anyone to pray with them or for them, well maybe in a way this could be a way that I can help, and be the example that Christ wants me to be. I love responses, so please don't be shy, let me know of any thoughts, or suggestions. Thank you all for you time that you give to read this, and possibly to forwarding this on.

Prayer:
Good evening our Father, it has been a wonderful and blessed day in Your love, and in Your light. Father, I ask forgiveness of my sins, Lord, I sin everyday, the thoughts I have, some actions that come of those thoughts, are not right, and are far from you. Father forgive me. We have a nature that fights and wrestles with You Lord, but through Your power and through Your grace You win. You have already won, when You sent Your son to die on the cross, You won. Your wonderful gift of love has power over all things, and Father I fall to me knees in thanksgiving. Father I ask for blessings on these words, may they honor and glorify You above all things, may they reach someones heart who needs a prayer. Father, guide my thoughts and my actions, use me in ways that accomplishes Your mighty plan, and give Your blessing to all that read or come in contact with this site. Father, I lift up my lovely wife, what a blessing she is, and a treasure. Our boys Wyatt and Jack, we can't imagine our lives without them, and the thought of trying to crushes our hearts. Hold my family close to Your love our Father, guide them, protect them.

Father, I lift up our parents, Mom and Dad, Floyd and Diane, Doug and Vickie. Father, may we never forget they are our examples, that they have been down these roads before, and they are our help in our lives and the lives of our families. Lord, I give you our brothers and sisters, Curt and Deb, Jerry and Marjorie, Chris and Patty, Father, You have blessed Lorna and I with such good friends in these siblings, may we never stop leaning on each other, and seeking each other out to spend time with, and just stay in each others lives. Father I lift up the children, I spoke of mine earlier, now I lift up Rachel, Amanda, Evan, Grace, Cole, and Luke, what joys they are, when they are all together, you can actually see Your glory. You can understand how and why You love all the little children of the world. Protect them in these rough and hard times, give us the parents, the knowledge and the strength to raise them and protect them, there are so many wolves in sheep's clothing out there, that without You, we could not survive.

Father, we have family that stretch across this country, we don't speak to for awhile, or hear from, and Father I lift up my aunts, Sylvia, Barbara, and Brook, and my uncle David. I pray Your touch is felt by them, and their children my cousins, Kelly and Kevin, Chris and Dedra. Here at home the need is no greater or less, I give you my uncle Scott and aunt Melinda, there kids Mandy and Jacob. Aunt Rory, Marnie, and her kids, my aunt Ruth and uncle Dave, Lord we live so close and see so little, Father, guide them, and lay Your hands upon them as well. Father, I want to say something special about my aunt Maryanne, she has never had a turned down face in front of a child, she laughs more than anyone I know, and always helps where she can. Father, touch her in a way that shows the "example" to others and honors You.

Father, my dear friends Ross and his lovely wife Sherri, are close to our hearts and our family always, may the be blessed my You, and guided by You, they mean so much to me, we have friends and neighbors that need the prayers, Father, with Your power and knowledge may they be blessed today. Father I give our pastor Ray, and the ministry he leads at bayside church. Father continue to bless this church and may the evangelizing never cease. Father I pray for our nation, in these tough times, and evil times, You have never been more needed than now. May we not put our trust and faith into a president or congress, but in You. We lift up our nations leaders as they have tough jobs to do, and Father may You become front and center in their meetings, and finally Lord, I pray for our troops. Those wonderful men and women who defend this nation, Father, they are far away in strange and dark place, in secret places, Father protect them, asure them that they would know You are God, and you are in control, bring them home safely.

We thank You our Father for Your love, for Your grace, and for Your everlasting gift of Your son. For it is in His name we pray. The name of the mighty counselor, the wonderful King, the everlasting and true ONE, Jesus Christ, we pray......

And Gods people said,
amen
